No problem! Thanks for the comments, and be sure to be back to start 2009 with a big, ugly creature-feature...

Can't wait for the next story. The boys loved "Peter and the Vampires" and "Peter and the Changeling" so I'm sure they will enjoy "Swamp Monster." And now you've got a very interesting larger mystery for us to think about.

I only just stumbles over this gem of a story. Its really funny, although I can often predict major parts of the plot pages before they are revealed because the title of the story is so descriptive and I know a lot of fairy tales. This tale was the most strange one to me as I didn't get a few jokes for a long time (I only remembered the other meaning of iron when Peter retrieved the object so and wondered for several pages why he didn't go for the iron/steel kitchen utensils...). On the other hand I found the "old German" Book title really funny, but a bit odd (I'm Austrian, which means native German speaker). Too bad they couldn't understand all the other books about fairies and the curse is a nice variant of the old question: why does all this weirdness happen to the heroes?
