No more updates? :(
Really nice update, was worth the wait. The story about Fiona was very nice to read.
Courtney -
Yeah, I'm just sloooooooow.
Lorven -
Cool, glad you liked it! Thanks!
So I couldn't wait till you updated this to comment on chapter 37? 38? Whichever it was.
The curse totally explains... Beth. It just skips a couple generations!
Rai -
Hahahahahahahahaha! I never even considered that!
Maybe Beth is 'that guy' reincarnated...
Naaah. Beth's much meaner.
Yeah, nobody comments anymore, so I haven't been updating the 'posting' page. So thanks for writing in!
Hey I'd still comment! I just thought it was taking a while to put the new update pages up. Loving the family history and everything. Lol I even Googled Sinjin Flannagan just to see if he was based on a real person! By the way, "hung" should be "hanged" when you're talking about execution.
Cat -
I should definitely figure out a way to put up a fake Sinjin Flannagan Wikipedia page...or maybe I'll just do a fake website...
Thanks for the grammar catch!
Ha! But if you did that, think how many people would think it was true! Could you live with yourself after deliberately misleading all those people?? :D
Oh yeah, you said to mention history-type stuff. I'm not particularly knowledgable about the Civil War but I thought I'd mention that the whole thing is generally just referred to as "the Civil War" rather than first, second or third (unless you're being REALLY specific!) since it was all part of the same conflict. Saying "the first Civil War" makes it sound like the first one ever, when it wasn't England's first civil war; just the one that affected how rather than who ruled. Anyway, since Grandfather's the one telling the story little things like that can just be part of his knowledge. I just thought I'd mention it as it struck me as a bit out-of-place.
Cat -
Oh yes, I can definitely live with that!
And duly noted about 'The Civil War.' I was going off the Wikipedia page, which lists the 'First Civil War' as 1642-46, the Second as 1648-49, and the Third as 1949-51 - but they also say, as you do, that most people refer to that period as 'the Civil War,' and only historians really separate them out. And, as you pointed out, that were other wars that qualify as civil wars.
I'll probably change it to reflect what you said, if it sounds odd. Thanks!
Darreeeen! I'm sorry I never comment. I'm always reading though.
You're still writing/? I haven't gotten anything since Ch 32-36 :(
Mina -
Haha, that's fine - just drop a line once in awhile!
Courtney -
Hey Courtney, just mailed you newest update!
Just finished reading it :)
The story has gotten really dark...hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel.
I don't know how peter's dealing with it, but if I were 9 years old and just reading this, it would have scared the crap out of me :P
Courtney -
Yeah, it IS pretty dark...
There will be a light at the end of the tunnel - but it might just be a train...
Oh jeez. I really like how it's getting darker. I Can't wait for more!
waitwaitwaitWAIT
is this
IT IS
IT'S
DARRRRRRRK PEEEEETTEEEEER
I never forgot about him. And now he's back to kick ass once more!
(Aww, the v-word is now a recaptcha! "And hemsoad." What am I meant to do with that?)
Wow! Just finished reading the last update and... wow.
Can't wait for Peter to let out his dark side next time he's in danger! And poor Dill, it was so heartbreaking when he confessed how he got possessed, I'm sure even Grandfather felt sorry for him. Using the Magic Time Room™ was a great idea of Peter's; even though I'm sure Dill will pass I can't help thinking that there's far too much opportunity for chaotic faery mayhem fun :D Gotta hope for their sakes they have a nice dull time. What happens if they sleep in there (with someone standing guard of course!)? Even if they study for 20 hours straight, they can still get a full night's sleep and be on time for school...
Just something I noticed: at the beginning where there's a recap of what previously happened with Dark Peter, I think the sentence "The Doppelganger wanted to take Peter’s place permanently, and challenged him to a duel" should be "The Doppelganger HAD wanted to" or even better "HAD challenged him". The way it reads, it almost sounds like it's describing the present, since the rest of the story's also written in the past tense.
