PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

This is by far the very funniest episode in the entire novel thus far. I was helplessly laughing out loud...
Thank you, misslynx! I wrote this episode to be more of a straight-up comedy, with a few hints about the bigger picture of Grandfather and Duskerville thrown in for good measure. (For all you horror-lovers, we'll be diving right back into a scary one within two weeks.) But after six or seven days went by without any comments, I started to wonder, "Am I just kidding myself? Is it NOT funny? Are people bored?" So thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying this one. And relieved.
Definitely not bored. I keep getting looks from coworkers as I stifle laughter. Great episode. :)
