Wow! I had no idea you were putting up the Peter stories! I happened to check your comic the other day and was pleasently surprised to discover this. =)
Anyways, I really enjoy the story so far. It's very engaging, well-written, and mysterious. I particularly love the character of Dill--his character just seems to come together very nice and his dialouge really lets me visualize him easily.
I look foward to reading more of Peter and the Dead Men and also hope to see this soon in print. I loved Imaginary Friends and (as previously mentioned) I would buy a copy of Peter and the Vampires in a heartbeat.
Thanks, Jess! I'm glad you found "Peter And The Dead Men" and that you liked it!
I'll definitely be collecting the first four stories into one book, but that might be 6 months from now.
Anybody else interested in my other book, IMAGINARY FRIENDS, should check out the links above every "Peter And The Dead Men" post. There's the Amazon page, the web comic, and about 10 pages of the book online in a blog like the PETER stories.
Thanks again, Jess, and glad to have you back onboard!
Dude, I'm totally diggin the story. It's drawn me in very quickly, I'm hooked!!! What bribery would be involved in getting, say, the next 400 pages at once? I'll have to look around for your other work now, I guess I could always use another hobby....
Thanks for the kind words! I always like to hear that!
I would recommend getting IMAGINARY FRIENDS at Amazon.com. It's my first novel, and near and dear to my heart. (The Amazon link is at the top of every "Dead Men" page.)
It's a fun comedy - no horror, unless you consider "a guy seeing things that nobody else can" to be in that vein.
If you need a preview of what the story and dialogue are like, check out the webcomic (the link is also at the top of the "Dead Men" pages) at www.ImaginaryFriendsComic.com.
Or check out the first ten pages in blog form (link also at the top of the "Dead Men" pages) at www.ImaginaryFriendsBook.com. I'll be posting them like PETER, a page a day, trying to drum up sales and support for my work.
Thanks again, and I hope you like it! I plan to offer PETER AND THE VAMPIRES (all four stories) for sale in about six months, but I haven't even started on all the typesetting, cover design, etc...
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.
