Ouch. Holly leaves do hurt quite a bit. I feel sorry for Peter having such a rough day so far. I hope something "interesting" will happen with that gang of bullies later on.
Great work, still is. Someone said a few pages ago that you managed to convey a great visual image of Dill, well, I'd have to say this is true for all your character, from Peter's crazy grandpa to nasal Mercy with her penny collection. I have to say though, I hope the focus quickly shifts back to grandpa's house - too many secrets are currently left hidden there, and the part about the 'blood money' really got me intrigued.

PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Mrs. Cashew is disturbingly true to life.

Thanks for the comments, folks! And thank you for the compliments, pardona. Much appreciated.
Yup, we're getting back to Grandfather's house very soon. And we'll get to see behind one of the doors we're not supposed to open...
No, not THAT door. THAT door can't be opened, on PAIN OF DEATH.
