Now I just wish Grandfather would just thrust a stake through their hearts and just get it over and done with. Peter and Dill can help out too I guess...
I think Grandfather should just save time in the future and sit both Peter and Dill down and tell them what other crazy shit happened in this town so they could just prepare themselves.
What would THE X-FILES been if The Cigarette Smoking Man had sat down in the pilot episode and said, "Look, Mulder, here's how it is..."
Would STAR WARS (the original) have been any good if, in the first 5 minutes, Ben Kenobi pulled Luke aside and said, "Hey kid, I need to tell you something about your dad..."
And for the ladies, would SEX AND THE CITY have had the same impact if Chris Noth had met Carrie and said within two episodes, "Hey, babe, let's elope. RIGHT NOW."
The journey is half the fun (hopefully).
Besides, Grandfather has a VERY good reason for disclosing as little as possible to Peter about why all this stuff is happening...
It'll just take us awhile - a LONG while - to find out exactly why.
But you'll get a big hint in the next story after "VAMPIRES".
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Soooo much time will be saved.
But if everybody communicated in the way they should, there wouldn't be any stories worth telling :)
I still have a higher opinion of Mercy and Agnes than Peter's mother and sister. I hope that changes soon.
Exaaaaactly, Betwyn Mawr!
