PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). The plot thickens!...I think. It could all be another red herring, so I'm reserving judgement. Have we heard of the Winapotakans interacting with witches before? *Checks...* Looks like, from chapters 17 and 18, the witches know about the Indians but don't collaborate with them. So hmmmmm...
Oh Dill, you had to go and jinx it, didn't you? Now of course there'll be some nasty at the school.
Incidentally historical cases of demonic possession were often caused by witches - so that the demoniac could be portrayed as a pure and innocent victim, as much as anything.
Chademat = A French derivative of chess. The rules are similar except that the king and queen are killed off halfway through and any unit can surrender to the other side at any time.
