PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - you are an awesome writer! You really make the reader feel so sorry for poor Dill. I even found myself forgetting how annoying and smart-mouthed he is :D OK bring on the deal with the devil, hope it's one that gives Mrs Cashew what she deserves!
WV: sifskosm. A tiny nuclear particle, smaller than a proton or even a quark, but a tiny bit bigger than a mikrokosm. Also a spell used to blast things out of the caster's way when angry. Hard to cast with a lisp.

Yes, I know some folks out there aren't totally in love with Dill. Here's hoping pity and empathy will overcome annoyance...at least for a while.
Really, with a backstory like Dill's you'd think that he would turn into a big bully or possibly the biggest nerd. Hasn't stereotyping taught us anything?

I was sitting quietly here at home in Christchurch New Zealand, polishing my Sir MistyCat of the Order of Jax (What A Guy) Medallion when I saw your email asking people to download your Kindle books from Amazon. I started to download the first when we were hit with a 5.8 magnitude earthquake (quake number 8000-odd since the big one in September 2009.) After a bit of confusion I started to download the second book when we were hit again with a 6.0 magnitude quake.
I noticed that as I was downloading your first book back in May this year, we also had a strong quake. Coincidence? Well Hell yes, of course.
But just as a precaution, could you let me know just before you release the next one, so I can move to the bunker ahead of time?

For those of you who don't know, MistyCat is the only person officially designated with a title in that order so far, for "going above and beyond the call of duty." He downloaded the first collection of PETER AND THE VAMPIRES back in May...at 12 midnight through 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning...in the middle of earthquakes in New Zealand that kept shutting off his internet connection.
As Dill would say, "That's kuh-RAYZEEE!"
