A monster? Inconceivable! It's probably just some harmless janitor, out for a midnight stroll in werewolf-infested territory.

And this...probably rules out Dr. V. as the monster - unless he ran very very fast round the other side of the building, transformed (or whatever it is mad scientists do to make themselves into monsters) and then went back to switch the oven off. Unless this actually isn't the monster, and actually is a harmless janitor out for a midnight stroll in werewolf-infested territory.

Barms - a slang way of describing a crazy person, as in the famous exchange by Mark Twain:

"Hey, Huckleberry, that old man is barms, you feel me?"

"Shut up, Sawyer."

Wow that was fast. I somehow expected more set up.

I hope that Dr. V knows that most states have leash laws...

Bad joke aside, EEK!
Let's hope the monster takes the friendly route of the novel and not the movie version

Is it going to be a childish monster? An educated monster? Monster monster?

All i can imagine right now is the boys chasing after him, the monster being a giant hulking 3 yr old that was rummaging around in the lockers for lunches left behind, or maybe snuck into the cafeteria. And the monster is going to pee his pants before Dill can.

WV - Inemen - What they really meant when they were naming M&M's

THF -
Whuuuuuuu? 28 pages wasn't enough set up for you?

Okay - next time, 50 PAGES!

Mary -
Most states also have laws about handling dead bodies, but, you know...details, shmetails.

AnakMoon -
I think...goofy monster. He wants to move to LA and do stand-up, but he's really bad at it.
