OMG! 'Cool Beans' I've been using this since I was 9. It drives my friends crazy. I knew I loved Dilly. ^_^

lol I use 'cool beans' as well! I actually had a video game years ago in which a character kept saying "cool beans and rice!"

I am a wee bit worried about the ol' Dillster, tho. Concussion, mebbe? Or perhaps he's just feeling a bit friddled (which would be my v word). Now that I think about it, though, it seems better used to describe what happened to the Kylewolf.

I very much like this chapter. Gradfather seems to understand exactly what Peter's going through right now - and why wouldn't he? It's a touching and moving scene (gosh, it is just filled with verbs) that nevertheless happens to be about a werewolf skewered between two cars.

But, Kyle got the last laugh in the end, almost literally. HE knows what Peter's going through, as well - in fact, I'm sure he once felt the same way when he realised he'd killed half of Romania. Then he realised, nope, he didn't care THAT much.

Efulab - I got nothing. A sewage inspection facility?

Okay, while they seem, mostly, okay physically, psychologically is another matter.
Thank you for the scene with Grandfather. Peter and Dill are going to need him shortly once they get treated
And how the heck are they going to explain playing chicken with a frat rat and the frat boy losing to the police?
Peter's about to see the OTHER side of what his grandfather goes through.

And, if you don't mind, I'm going to go hug my little boy right now.

I agree, I think this has been the nicest that Grandpa has been to both Peter and Dill.

Then again after the night they have had they need a good rest.

Yay! Ellaanabeth's in the "I Heart Dill" Fanclub! Cool beans!

Stormy Llew -
Yay! Cool beans and rice!

Well...Dill has other problems than a concussion...

Rubberduck -
Glad you liked the scene between Grandfather and Peter, Rubberduck!

Um...as far as Kyle laughing, though...I think it was more of a "I can't believe this little *&$%#@*& got the best of me" laugh. A rueful, ironic laugh.

And I can promise you that the only concerns Kyle had about his actions in Romania were whether they would land him in jail. Nothing more.

Efulab - a laboratory where they teach mice to flip the bird at people.

D'oh! Did I just violate my own "Keep it PG" policy?!

Mary -
At least for Peter, the psychological trauma is a lot more intense than anything physical that happened.

Yes...the fallout will be interesting...

Go hug him!

I can guarantee you they won't be getting much of a vacation...
