This is the deepest 'Peter and ...' story you have posted to date. The details are adding to character development and are very welcome.

The humor flows more smoothly as it seems to come naturally from the events and Peter's perception of them.

Rather than these being complaints about the earlier stories, they are observations as to how the writing style is maturing along with Peter. Initially, he just reacted to events as a child without particular concerns as to what lay behind them. Now, as he is gaining personal growth, he is concerned with the bigger picture. This is echoed by a more advanced style of story-telling that is absolutely appropriate.

Thanks for a very good read; I'm looking forward to more enjoyment to come.

Echoing what Jeff just said... This one has been really interesting, particularly this last bit where we get to see a bit more of Grandfather's perception of things.

I haven't been commenting much lately, mainly due to being busy, but rest assured I'm still reading and enjoying the stories!

And today's episode seems to finally touch on one thing I'd been curious about for a while: why the curse seems to have, for the most part, skipped over Peter's mom. But it sounds like it was specifically on the males of the family, rather than the family as whole.

I could use an unbreakable, free, infinately powered cell phone too.

This is shaping up to be a sad and deep story. I feel really bad for Grandfather.

I agree that the writing has matured too. I really like this style.

I guess the curse hasn't affected income flow. Grandfather's family is loaded.

@MissLynx
I'm sure Peter's mom saw some weird stuff growing up. never underestimate the power of denial and repression. Also it seems that things are ramping up because Grandfather is going to die.

Jeff -
Wow...glad you liked it!

It's funny, I can never predict how people will react. I thought that everyone would hate this one because it was darker and without much of a resolution...glad I was wrong!

MissLynx -
Cool.

Just wait until the "All Grandfather" flashback story. It'll probably be a couple more years in coming, at this rate, but we'll get his whole life story in 60 pages...

Someday.

Jennifer -
Haha! Well, I think he has to charge it, but yeah, it's super-sturdy, free, and has satellite reception, so no "0 Bars" dead zones.

It's good to be a mad scientist's friend.

Yep, we'll actually get to Peter's mom in a future story, too. Never underestimate denial and repression as coping mechanisms.

Aaaaah, that's just cuz you're the founding member of the I <3 Grandfather Fan Club.
