PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Hee! Peter is so heroic these days. Also very well done for timing the 'splosions to the 4th July (happy Independence Day!).
Note on Kali/Eskrima - the pressure point thing seems uncharacteristic from what I know of it, given that it'll assume you have a knife or stick in your hand and targets for damage rather than nerve clusters. But very possibly your friend learned the nerve strikes as 'extra credit', since it is fun to mess with body systems!
As for Jax vs. Dr. V., I'm also sure Jax has some tricks up his sleeves (Jax wears sleeves while skating. Safety first!). And all things being equal I'd bet on a physically fit (some, not me, would say 'godly physique') teenager against a scientist described as 'round'.

True on the Kali/Escrima. I know that was his major focus, but he was a martial arts badass in general, so maybe he did study some other area for the pressure point stuff...
As for Jax and Dr. V, though, remember: old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time.
Although the physically-fit part vs. "round" might shake things up a bit.
