PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Interesting peek into Peter's subconscious! There must be another way out/down that they don't know about yet - it's not like Dill would have had opportunity for a full reconnaissance mission :)
WV: ackslat. Expression of disgust upon discovering one has stepped into a slushy puddle and it has soaked through one's sock.
Talk about a bad dream, but Peter had to make a choice. And it sounds like if they left baby to die they might both have had their arms torn off. Since there is no where to go but the short way down.
