Holy elemental powers, Batman! Awesome fight scene.

So did Veloria just straight overpower the talismans, or is stabbing blindness one of the things they don't protect against? Because that seems like a bit of a flaw... Or is it something to do with Enid's pentacle being disrupted?

Yay for Dill's fantasical werewolf powers! And frankly, given his healing powers, I can't see him thinking of being swept away as anything but awesome: "Peter! It was SOOO COOOL, I saw the whole town! And I think I managed to mark my territory over Mrs Cashew's place!"

Risteehy = A Scots fairy noted for its habit of finding unruly children and filling their beds with (rather confused) Englishmen.

That's a good point about the talismans. I think I'll have to add a line in there earlier to the effect of poppet magic can get past the defenses of the talismans. Veloria has a hair from Grandfather and Gwen in the poppets, that's for sure; and we know she has one for Peter.

Hmmmmm...what will happen with Pete?

Good call, I just revised Enid's discussion back in the house to include this bit:

Enid continued. “But what she can do is take a bit of your hair and stitch it into a doll, called a poppet. And unfortunately, that type of magic can get around your talismans.”
Grandfather looked alarmed. “Are you sure?”
“Oh yeah. Your necklaces are good against straight mystical attacks, but if she has a piece of your body to use in her magic, the talismans basically become just cute little trinkets.”
Peter’s stomach dropped as he remembered the day at school he had invited Ms. Valinda to his birthday party…and how she had picked a single hair off his shirt. “What does she use the doll for?”
“Well, she can…do things to it. ”
“What kind of things?”

Thanks for pointing that out, RB!
