Big Bird originally was supposed to be a cassowary. That made more sense than a canary, but I guess cassowaries are less adorable.
Poor Melissa, relegated to reported dialogue! Though I guess it does reflect how Peter was tuning her out.
@Darren-from-yesterday: Velociraptor with feathers you say?

Conside: grifter's term for when someone has been temporarily added to the team, e.g. "His secretary's been brought conside."
I think Peter might be right on the last question, though actually kicking him in the face might even get asked that question.
Yay! Updates! Welcome back! (I knew if I was strict with myself and held off looking for a couple of days or so it would pay off... lol)
Bogey vs Boogey - I've only ever heard bogey, though it seems boogey is more common in America. Still, I think I may know what Dill's joke is with the latter pronunciation and that's just given me amusing yet disconcerting images - something like Michael Jackson's Thriller video, only instead of zombies or whatever it's creatures made from bogeys... Ew, thanks Dill!
I'll take odds on Rubberduck's theory! Maybe not specifically a fear spirit, but definitely something(or rather, some things) psychological that stalks him.
And that's only if the bland, irritating, how-does-that-make-you-feel therapist doesn't drive him over the edge first (or unleash a more intangible version of Dr Veedermeier's "creations" on him)!
WV: heats. What you get if you write "staeh" backwards, staeh being a method of flash-freezing things.
The therapist and the good Dr. are the bogeymen....

I heard they DID hire a cassowary first, but he disemboweled a couple of muppets, so they had to get rid of it.
Rubberduck -
Yeah, she's not going to be in this one much...
Awesome article. However, I have to say I'm glad they made JURASSIC PARK before they discovered this. I'm not sure it would have been as tense with a bunch of cassowaries running around.

He should try it, says I.

Thank you! Tis true, a watched pot never boils...
Well, what's interesting is that in the UK, bogey also means a dried clump of snot, right? Here in America, 'boogey' can mean snot, but it's usually 'booger.'
And there's also 'boogie' meaning to dance.
Dill's possibilities are endless.
