Hmm, looks like Dr. V. really does care. Well, that or if he killed Peter either Dill or Gwen would have stabbed him.
And I think that accounts for everything explanation-wise. Thank goodness - not that I don't enjoy finding out the backstory and what went on behind the scenes, but these past few chapters have been a little exposition-heavy for me.
And Peter's human body count rises...how many is that now?
Adulak = A Persian ghost which hunts by detecting laughter. Which might explain a lot about Persians.
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

"Next time follow instructions, and everything will go much smoother."
I like the unexplored implication there.
Poor Peter! Having to make a "no choice" decision that would give an adult nightmares. But will it work on Kott?

Rubberduck -
That is true...it HAS been a bit "And then THIS happened...and then THAT happened" the last few chapters...

Todd -
Yep! Dr. V's still looking for an apprentice, I think.
Hoboe -
Well - kind of...tactically, anyway, if not chemically...
