PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). Is it just me, or will she turn out to be a succubus?
Ms Valinda? Hmmm.

Not just you Anon, my first thoughts were succubus as well. That or she has at least rank one in presence...
I'm sure she's evil...maybe she slips out of her skin at night? Or maybe she needs the life essence of young children to stay beautiful forever? I'm sure there's something diabolical going on. Or maybe she's just a beautiful young lady and the real monster will use her as bait, or as a distraction to do it's evil deeds!
exsed: The word that Dill will use in high school when he mentions he has to take a sex ed class. Because girls are icky.
Succubus may be too obvious. Rather than sucking out life essences maybe she's going to use them as her brain-washed slaves and take over the school, the town... then she battles Vedermeier for world domination! We don't know enough yet about her powers to start the betting - what if she can mesmerise Dr V? Or his animated corpses?!
Wonder what her idea of "something fun" is for the class. And is there going to be one kid who doesn't fall under her spell but no one believes him/her and they have to battle alone to free the rest of their classmates while enduring their peers' hatred for not liking Valinda?

WV: nonshe. When you and only you know the truth, and no one believes you, much like Cassandra in classical mythology. When you try to alert people to the danger, they say "what a load of nonshe!".
