Well that would be one heck of a distraction. Toss ammo into a furnace. At least Dill had the sense to stay quite enough to be set free.

Okay, this is my first comment but I've read all your stories...and gotten one of my mates hooked on them as well. I love them, so much. Now I have to say....very good distraction. I honestly can't wait to see what happens next.

Yeah, that's one heck of a diversion. The kids are cheering. Though it would be much more of a boom than a bang, shotgun shells are loud.

Oh, and no need to tell the boys what is next. It's good for them to have to wait and they do enjoy the speculation, LOL.

Yeah, every once in awhile, Dill does the smart thing. Usually he doesn't KNOW it's the smart thing, but that's why he has Peter.

THANK YOU! That's awesome, recruiting other readers! I'm glad you've liked all the stories, and I hope you keep enjoying them!

Good to know about the shotgun shells booming. I might change that...

Good, I'll keep the boys in the dark as much as possible, then.
