PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

I have a sneaking suspicionthat Peter is getting ready to get well and truly scared. If Grandfather is scared quiet then Peter should be terrified and Dill should be heading to the basement to voluntarily enter his cage, for safety purposes, "hey has anyone got a spare pair of pants? these are soaked, I think I spilled my soda" "Dill, you didn't have a soda"
So the brownies are the ones that found the door was open again, but that doesn't mean they will not go and bring something else back. And a full grown troll isn't someone I would want to meet.
Y'know, nobody said that the brownies were the first to find the door open.
Also, this chapter might explain why the brownies are helping the boys out (maybe): I can just imagine them being stuck in the inbetween place, not knowing the way out. Then, the boys show them the way to our world.
