Yikes. That was a chilling tale. Grandfather must have had nerves of steel, even then. Also, that right there is currently my scariest moment of the entire series, beating out Trick-or-Treaters and Morgue.

Ousente = A ritual requiring the sacrifice of seven birds, which will give the wizard the power to communicate with animals. However, animals tend to not talk to you after you sacrifice seven birds just to feed your own curiosity.

Wow...how he managed to turn around I'll never know.
I wonder how his wife feels about all of the monster hunting.
I'm looking forward to hearing about his marriage to Peter's Grandmother at a later date.
I get the feeling, judging from his mom, that her personality is/was a LOT different than Grandfather's

Is it wrong that I'm now picturing Hugh Jackman as Grandfather?

EEEEEEK! You were right Darren, I think this creature is on par for scariness with Frank's 'litter mates' for being an entirely imagined entity. I myself believe that the scariest thing in the world is one's own imagination, so I agree completely with Mary on Grandfather having the stones to turn and face 'it'.

LOL @ Rubberduck v-word definition, I woulld say you are right about the animals clamming up after that ;)

Talk about an angry sucker, and with no where else to go. Talk about your rock and hard place.

Rubberduck -
Wow! Really? Worse than Trick-or-Treaters climbing up the stairs with the knife? Or talking to Peter on the steps of his house?

Cool.

(I think I'm actually still freaked out most by Trick-or-Treaters for some reason. But I'm glad this one's scary.)

Actually, I am, too. I have a whole story planned out for Grandfather's life. We won't see it for years, but it will be EPIC.

Hugh Jackman?...as a young Grandfather?

Okay, just so long as the dude in your photo doesn't get mad.

Xirena -
'Litter mates'! I like that. Somehow it's less threatening yet all the more creepy.

How'd you know one head's name is Rock and the other is Hard Place?!
