Oh Dill, you're such a matchmaker. But you shouldn't use this type of thing just to go to a creepy carnival.

Plus, you should have learn by now that whenever you're excited about something, something horrible shows up. Poor boys will never learn, will they?

Also... I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned... but what ever happened to Peter and Beth's father?

Yeah.. I'm that kind of person who likes to know the full family history about the characters, sadly you rarely get books like that because I guess they figure no one will like it or it'd make the book to long.

But yes, what did happen to him?

Well...it's kind of a mystery so far.

We know from a few mentions in DEAD MEN and SWAMP MONSTER that he just left, and Peter hasn't seen him in a couple of years.

I figure he abandoned his family, though I'm not sure of the particulars.

But never fear...he WILL return in a future story. I already have the basics of it planned out, though it's probably pretty far off in the future. It should be an interesting one.

Spoiler: Peter and Beth's father isn't the werewolf.

Hope I didn't ruin it for you.

Huzzah! My love for you has grown since you'll include him! Even if he sounds liek a deadbeat... BUT I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was driven away by a creepy thing.

Darn! And here I was ever so hoping he was it. Actually... I'm rooting for Jenkins to be the werewolf and the olny cure is to shoot him dead.

Yeah... I'm a jerk, but he's an even bigger one. And I doubt he'll be missed all that much.

Wow, that was pretty devious of Dill. I wonder if he thought of it all by himself, or if he *ahem* woke up with the thought?
On the comments about Peter and Beth's dad, I would rather not think about a dad that would abandon his family because it was too scawey.

The exception, of course, is when his mere presence makes the situation worse.

I wonder if he considered the fact that he could potentially inherit a lot of money by sticking around? Maybe that's why he's decided to come back?

Are you SURE?

It'll be a looooooong time before we find out about Peter's dad. By my guess, at the rate of six or seven stories a year...it might take us another two years to get there. Maybe even longer.

But it will definitely be interesting - and, quite possibly, a huge turning point in the saga!

Probably not but Dill's dad always struck me as a werewolf, don't know why though.
