PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

I'm not gonna be able to sleep at night, if it keeps up like this...
This is the scariest story out of any of Peter's misadventures!

I think the cliff hanger was perfect. It would be even better if, just then, Peter's Grandfather bursts into the house and stops the maniacs before they can deliver their message ;)
I don't know how you feel about people correcting typos Mr. Pillsbury, but I just thought that I'd point one out: "mom's haunted eyes started at the door," should probably be "stared at" or possibly "darted to"

Well now we know they can't be human. Twenty years and they still look the same. Makes me wonder what they are.
I hope they can find something in Beths' room to use as some kind of a weapon. I don't trust that door to hold very long.
Kitchen knives against a (probably heavy) wooden door, braced with a heavy crib? They'll need a sledge hammer or a fire axe to get through it in any reasonable length of time -- remember that at least so far, they haven't shown any supernatural strength or resilience. Now, this of course assumes that they can't teleport or phase through it...

Good to see you posting again! And I LOVE people pointing out typos, Um. You guys are my editing squad! Seriously! It makes my job that much easier down the road when I put together the self-published, paper version. So thanks!

Alex officially votes that the Psychos are chibi X-Men.
Actually, to be more accurate, I think Alex votes that the Psychos cannot get into the room UNLESS they are chibi X-Men. Which I will second. For the moment.
