Dark Peter, ninja extraordinaire! And now confirmation that he's superhuman as well, or close to: surviving a two-storey fall isn't easy when you're ten.

He's being a bit unfair, surely, not allowing Peter to practice? I mean, sure, he doesn't want to have to go away (though it's only his word that he will), but if he doesn't want a fair fight in the first place, why not just beat up Peter in the first place? He doesn't need Gwen and Dill to agree to say he's Normal Peter, he can just threaten their families.

Perice = A Spanish word. The imperative form of the word 'perir', meaning 'to giggle in a half-hearted way at a joke told by one of your superiors'.

Looks like they still haven't figured out that in a sense he is Peter. So he knows everything that Peter is doing, and can appear at will when ever he wants.

Gwen is now a true member of the team. She passed the initiation ritual with flying colors - being punished for the collateral damage of the battle.

As for Dark Peters knowledge - there is an obvious mental connection - see the "alien" thought at the beginning of this book.
Behavior and abilities pretty much are what any D&D nerd would expect from a Greater Doubleganger. I still can't really tell which metaphysical explanation will be used on how Dark Peter entered this story. I suppose this would probably indicate its weaknesses. A look into Grandfather's library could help. Anyway it seems that Peter must be kept ignorant of it as long as possible to prevent his evil twin from counteracting it.

Well, if Dark Peter has the right psychic connections, maybe Peter has a connection to Dark Peter--whether that means access to his abilities, or maybe Dark Peter needs him to function in this world.
It would be kinda cool if Peter ends up going to the Dark Place, but triumphantly comes back to the world of the living.
