Looks like the cops are going to where the monster was, since a person/animal was hurt and brought back to the doctor. We don't know, only that it trailed blood behind it when it went in.
So Doctor V was probably cleaning up the mess. Peter and Dill are getting better at running that is for sure, maybe they should take up track. They could win a few medals.
Well, my guess is that Dr. V. is dead. He was too good for this manky Earth. Only problem with this is that the monster didn't give chase when the boys ran, so why would he have cause to hurt the doctor? Answer - he works for the phone companies, of course, and has been recently promoted from the call centre.
Imporjec - Spanish word for the repulsive force that a burger seems to exert on pieces of lettuce, causing them to fly as far as a foot from the bun when picked up.
Rubberduck - no, no, if Dr. V died this early, he would never have a chance to go all "Those fools at the academy called me mad!", as this sort of character is bound to do.
Oh, and my word verification word: atize: an Aztec beverage made with cocoa, fermented maize, and narcotic herbs, frequently given to sacrificial victims before the rite to keep them cooperative.
I like this game. It reminds me of the Scrabble variant I've occasionally played with friends, where instead of making real words with your tiles, you have to make unreal words, but come up with plausible-sounding definitions for them. So much more fun than playing the normal way!
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Hmmm...
As far as track goes, they ARE getting a lot of practice, aren't they?
Rubberduck -
Oooooor - no, I like the call center promotion idea.
