By the way, check out yesterday's comments for a long discussion on why Kyle chose Jon, Chubbs, and Charlie for inclusion in the pack.

I didn't include one of the most obvious questions: why did Kyle choose anybody to begin with?

Well, if you're a narcissistic sociopath, what fun is it being superhuman if nobody knows? You need people to acknowledge how cool and powerful you are - and if you're an alpha wolf, don't you just automatically want a pack to lord over, too?

I think Dill is secretly MacGyver.

vword: dogis. As in, that dogis going to get it.

Great going Dill, Peter will be having nightmares of this for years to come if he has to run him over.

It takes a brave person to walk to their doom with open eyes when they have a choice, rest well Charlie.

Peter could have used the phone to warn his mother, that the monster that killed the cows is coming for her, but considering what happened when the vampires knocked on the door or at the mall... It seems like his mother is mostly only unwittingly forcing him to go into the lion's den to save her.

"One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires."
Sorry, had to. ;-) And thank you for not giving TOO much detail about Charlie. Ugh!
The poor guy.
And yay for Dill for giving an inkling of the kid that he REALLY is.

Huzzah for me guessing the whole driving situation!

*happy booty shake with maracas*

Let's just hope they don't get in an accident... Dill would be trapped down there!

About yesterday's explanation, I guess you can sum it all up as Jon wanted to be Alpha Male and Kyle would have none to do with that.

As for Beth... she would usurp Kyle in a second.

Also note that if your characters start appearing in my dreams, I'm befriending Beth first to get on her good side.

My first thought was for them to use the phone, too. Of course, they could have made up a better story than "there's a monster coming!", since Peter's mum's so sceptical. Something like, "Charlie's frat-boy friends got really drunk and a bit violent, they said they were coming over to cause trouble because Charlie doesn't get paid enough!" or even "They got all drunk and we're scared, can you come and pick us up?" which would get her out of there at least. Or they could ring grandfather again.

Love the modified car, though they'd need the humorous horn to be truly like the Lost Boys! Poor Peter's already scarred enough about killing the other two werewolves - surely Dill should be the one steering the kebabmobile?!

Dill seems to be acting a little like a drill sergeant in his motivation of Peter - a 'Dill Sergeant', if you will. Nice to see he's making himself useful.

Good thing the car's an automatic, or they'd never get it ten yards. As a recently passed driver, I know this.

'Teriess' = A female terrier. The planned fifth member of the werewolf pack.

Ok, Dill gained some serious awesome points for referencing the Lost Boys. And he's right--Peter badly needs a pop-culture education. I would suggest some Buffy as well, but Dill would probably scorn that as a chick show.

Rai -
Haha! I'll have to get him a leather jacket.

Well, better nightmares for years to come of running someone over than nightmares for life of his mom dying...

Eldoran -
Yep, there's really nothing she could do to save herself. Kyle would eventually punch through any doors in his path. And she would NOT leave just on Peter's say-so.

Mary -
No problem. Sometimes a liiiitle detail is just enough.

And yes! Dill kicks butt!

N7 -
Hmmmm...

And yes, that would be the far shorter way of saying it...

Beth as your bodyguard is ALWAYS a good bet.

Cat -
Yeah, but what if Kyle shows up when she's opening up the car? And even if they were inside already, a Honda's not going to stop Kyle...

Rubberduck -
Dill occasionally comes through in pressure. When he's not wetting his pants.

Stormy Llew -
Actually, I think Dill referenced Buffy back in PETER AND THE VAMPIRES...that show's a classic, and Dill is ALL about the classics!
