There is NOTHING more terrifying than having a spider follow you. Even the bald glowy eyes guy would be better! I've never felt so scared for poor Peter!
Well, Mr. Pillsbury has just said that answering my post would mean that it really is an arachnid. So, for now, I'm going to pretend that it is really a crab that has lost its pincers. If you try to correct me (outside of the story, of course): Lalala, I can't hear you!
I find it highly amusing that everyone else is scared of the spider and I'm getting excited by all the science nerd stuff. :)
Somehow, despite his lack of morals I don't think that this is entirely Dr. V's fault. I may be biased (actually I probably am biased), but I have the feeling his creations may have gotten out of control. Sure he was lying, but maybe just to cover up what he was doing in the first place, or maybe thinking he can still control them, or maybe just having too much fun discovering stuff to realize it's gotten out of hand.
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Hi,
I was wondering if you had a public email/contact form I could use to reach you, rather than overloading your comments box?

Haha! Just don't get into graverobbing, deal?
Yeah, I think you're biased. Although that IS a pretty good idea, the doctor losing control of his creation...
Stormy -
Yeah, you (and anybody else who wants to) can contact me at

Sorry for the weird email, but I'm afraid of spiders of another kind...
And now Peter is stuck but good, unless of course there is a shotgun in that room. Then he might have a chance.
