Epic chase maneuver! Though I must say Peter seems to be overreacting to the paintballs a bit. I mean, it's not like it'll cause permanent damage unless it hits his eyes, unlike what Dark Peter will do to him if he gets close.
Also, I am filled with horror at any musician who would just DROP their instruments, even if they feared for their lives. Truly, Duskerville is a town with a dark secret.
Patint = what you get when you discover a new colour. These are rarely handed out nowadays.
Lock, Shock and Barrel. :D And Zero was clearly the best character <3 Nightmare Before Christmas. :)
Oh and sousaphones are generally used in marching bands rather than tubas. French horns aren't generally used either. But I'll forgive Duskerville since they're obviously too poor to afford proper instrumentation.
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

One bullet left, hey laughing boy there was one more bullet.
Ok I am done now, any guess where that is from. Well they hurt when you get hit by them. Depends on where you get hit as to how much though.

Pretty Stupid Float is a good band name. And I hope someone somewhere pays enough attention to remember more than one Peter.
Rubberduck -
Seriously? If you thought somebody was spraying the crowd with a MAC-10, you wouldn't drop an instrument?
Dang.

Google is a wonderful thing.

But Peter has no idea that sousaphones exist...he just things they're funny-looking tubas.
Todd -
They're on a double bill with Droppin' Tubas.
It was an old Loney Toons joke, Daffy would get shot by the last bullet even if it dry fired before going off.
