A creature related to the jackalope. It is quite large and agressive.
Well they could have stressed that Deputy Jenkins himself prevented them from proving the existence of the swamp monster (page 67), which sort of forced them to accept the settlement (community service).
Well bringing Frank in would prove somethings, or even getting Dill to change. But either of those would be kept for science and wouldn't end well.
I wonder if that court house is haunted, that could prove it before to long as well.
