“Especially in phone calls to the Charterton Police deparment.”
Department.
I was a little confused who Goodin was at first, since he was identified only as Goodin and not mentioned on the last page. I figured it out fast, but was it unclear at first to anyone else?
Really enjoying the story, by the way.
Todd -
Thanks for the catch!
I should probably rewrite the Goodin bit, too...
Glad you're enjoying it!
Seconded, I'm enjoying this as well. A break from your usual style, and of course we have the invincible Pryce.
@scubadude-from-yesterday - Goodness, no! I was considering making him a rave/techno fan, but he honestly seems like he'd be more into metal.
Codrug = What it sounds like, a carpet made from treated fish scales. Pryce has one in his home - find out more in 'Pryce and the Lake Creature'!
...where was this Pryce guy when I needed him...
Goodness Pryce is really painting those cops as idiots. For a few reasons.
First for not taking care of the scene, second for not trying to figure out what was being shot, third for making assumesions about the kids, and fourth for having a history of not believing Peter.
I think after this trial the judge might have some stiff words for that police department.
@Todd: The Goodin thing made sense to me, though maybe Darren rewrote it before I read it. I think she's a female though, unless "Ms" can now refer to males.
I love the way Pryce put a whole different perspective on the phone call and turned the whole thing around to Peter's advantage!
Seems like Pryce is worth his $800/hour, if only for the entertainment...
@rubberduck: was not really worried, just couldn't resist asking.
Rubberduck -
Good! I was a little worried people wouldn't be on board with the trial, but folks seem to be enjoying it.
I have to post several pages at once to keep the flow of the testimony going, though, so I bet that's helping some...
Rubberduck, are you going to start a "I <3 Pryce" fan club to compete with AnakMoon's "I <3 Grandfather" club?
Anonymous -
Haha!
If only I could give you his number. But there's still that $800 an hour thing to contend with.
daymon34 -
I think that's a pretty good rundown of the places where the police came up short in this particular case...
Cat -
Yeah, I rewrote it. Before that it was just "Goodin this" and "Goodin that."
True, that Pryce, he's crafty...
scubadude -
What up again!
To paraphrase KUNG FU PANDA, the legal help is $800 an hour...the awesomeness is free.
