PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

@Darren: I laughed so hard with your salt joke.
@Rubber Duck: Yeah, I know Scott brought the knife to do the ritual; I was just thinking that he might get attacked by whatever it is he's supposed to summon. There must be some way one can protect oneself, since Fallon was willing to risk Scott using it on him.
And so now we are caught back up to where peters last story ended yes? with him seeing scott on the couch in the hallway?

Hmm...supernatural nastiness remains to be seen. Presumably it's a little more sneaky than Scott expected. And I guess it won't stop its rampage with Mike - for example, it might be interested in a certain boy with a juicy curse hanging over his head...
Kletra = The true name of the spirit of the mummy a couple of books back. He'd been hanging out as a ghost, generally being harmless, until he caught sight of Jax one day and decided he needed to shake this man's hand (what a guy). So of course he needed hands to shake with...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Exams and such.
The reason why salt is used for protection is because it works as a purifier. It essentialy keeps bad energy away, or gets rid of it.
