Oh lawdy. See, I just started reading about Slenderman, and this story's not helping...for those of you who don't know, KEEP IT THAT WAY. HE KNOWS IF YOU KNOW.
On a more meta note, congrats for writing truly scary horror, Darren!
Aspinic = A new type of poison, the name a pun on arsenic and asp venom. It has a number of specific symptoms - but these are only there if you look for them.
Its last recorded use was in the Bartlesby-Johnson Manor Murder, where the culprit was unmasked by one of the teenage summer workers. Police commented, "What a guy. But seriously, leave the detective work to the professionals."
FOUND YOU.
Darren,
If you keep writing scary stuff like this I won't be able to read your stories while my husband is away on a business trip. I have an overactive imgination.
Rubberduck,
I think you mentioned the S-man a few weeks ago, which prompted a google/wikipedia search. Now I'm getting paranoid about the s-man too. Ignorance is bliss, so people, definately don't read about the S-man.
So creepy! We know locked doors won't keep him out, but it was still chilling the way he was suddenly in the room. I really, really hope she escapes, even though I know she won't! Definitely not one to read when on your own in the house at night...
So, is the ouija board spelling out specific names and is there a connection between them? Or is it doing the equivalent of opening the phonebook at random? Hmm, what connection could there be...? Perhaps it's someone else that Scott doesn't like, maybe someone who cut in front of him in a queue at the shop and he said something like "Drop dead!", and in this case careless words cost lives?!
Also, the line “Where are you all day, Scott?” should be were - past tense.
WV: skinsti: A Russian slang term for not having any money. However, certain people don't find this a problem, as just when they least expect it people they have helped in the past spontaneously buy them drinks in pubs. What guys they are.
Rubberduck -
Yes, someone here introduced me to Slenderman a month or so ago. Was it you? Or Mina? Or did she just squeeeeee when S-Man was mentioned?
Anyway...rest assured...
...Slenderman WILL be the star villain of a future PETER story...
And thanks! Glad you got the heebie-jeebies!
And FOUND YOU at the end was a nice touch.

Sorry!
Cat -
Yay, glad everyone was scared!
Hmmmmm...what IS the Ouija board doing?!
Thanks for the proofreading catch!
