Héhé. It helps that Jenkins isn't very bright.

Is lying to a cop an actual crime? I thought you had to be sworn in before you can be charged with perjury?
Anyway, if none of the carnies knew what was going on, then why is Deputy Jenkins there in the first place?

Well Jenkins tried to get Peter and Dill, Grandpa is just to smart for him though. One of these days Peter is going to end up downtown, I feel sorry for him when that happens.

Probably a ghost or something in the police station will cause trouble then.

Ghost in the police station would be funny. I can just imagine Jenkins adamantly denying anything out of the ordinary happened.

Glad Grandfather is a quick thinker though. Jenkins and him have an amusing relationship to say the least. :)

Ehhh...yeah, I guess he's not super bright, but I wouldn't write him off as stupid...

Um the Muse -
Ah...but does Grandfather actually ever lie to them?

Or maybe you meant the carnies. Or Dill and Peter. I'm sure Jenkins will make up some charge.

I'll put in a sentence to explain it...I figure the non-freak show carnies called the sheriff's department when they heard Grandfather's shotgun go off.

Yes, it will be a wacky day. I've already written the story, actually...

Rai -
I agree, daymon34's idea of a ghost WOULD be good...

As Dill said back in SWAMP MONSTER, "That's my lawyer!"
