I'm trying to figure out the down side if Peter gets away and Dill doesn't. Shorter stories?

I'm wondering if Kyle is all bravado and stretching the truth with the story of how he took on so many guys...
Something doesn't ring true.

I don't know about you, but that beat up I would just want to lie down and rest.

Dill is trying so hard to impress this guy, it could literally bite him in the butt.

Yeah, like the fact that everybody was laughing afterwards? Or the fact that he could supposedly knock them out of the fight in a single blow? Without a weapon (or supernatural powers)?
He just wanted to look good in front of his college buddies. It's bad ettiquette to tell the truth ;)
Also, all the Romanians that I know are real swell guys. It was a big relief visiting them, because they don't hate the Americans just for living in the good ole USA. They're also really hard workers, maybe since they often live near the edge of poverty.

So, I'm planning a trip backpacking across Europe and Asia with my friends in a few years and my other friend's first words of advice are: "Just don't get kidnapped or turned into a werewolf."

I thought it pretty ironic.

Anyways, I can see Kyle as being almost tolerable before he became a frat boy. Or a werewolf. Whichever turned him into a bigger jerk.

Rai, it's a great way to see the world. My advice, though, is to claim to be Canadian, assuming you're from the States. If you prefer not to lie, you might be able to get away with it by claiming your state (like "Californian" or "Coloradan"). I wouldn't try "Georgian" though, since Georgia is its own country ;)
Oh yeah, and don't forget your towel. People will assume that you must have lost your other stuff somewhere along the way, as long as you're so prepared that you've got your towel (thanks to the "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy" for that one :P )

Haha, I'm so far north in the states people refer to me as "practically Canadian." The Army taught me how to pack my ruck though; always bring a towel and spare socks. :)

Todd -
Weeeeellllll...Peter would be dead several times over if it weren't for Dill, so there's that...

Mary -
I'm pretty sure he has an overinflated view of everything he does.

daymon34 -
I would just want to collapse and go unconscious.

Um the Muse -
I'm sure Romanians are awesome...just remember who's telling the story...and that these particular bar patrons WERE hanging out at midnight, unafraid of bad mojo, while the rest of the town was tucked away safely at home...

Rai -
Ironic?! NO! REALISTIC.

Really? I figure Kyle has always had everything handed to him on a plate because of his looks, bearing, and probably family money, and that he has a monolithic sense of entitlement to anything and everything.

Um & Rai -
Never knew the US Military read HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE...
