OOoohh witch craftery! Me likes this story. And do you happen to know where i can find a copy of that book? I could use a minion or two right about now...
Well considering the Hebrew and Latin reference this should probably be a botched attempt of a cabbalistic golem. The selfreplication (and getting out of hand) reminds me of the "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". However this is quite a typical fairytale reference in Austria. The "Kasermandl" a golem cut out of cheese to do the work of the alpine dairymen, which pretty much always gets loose and tries to kill anyone, in the vicinity, not protected by fate.
In Grandfather's basement, you had mentioned several weapons, including a weapon with a ball and chain. Technically, this is called a flail, but is commonly called a morning star. I just figured that that would work better than, say, a sword for raining destruction on the little doughboys.
Aha, the plot thickens! Much like cookie dough, come to think of it.
Hmmm, now I'm craving gingerbread. Preferably the non-homicidal sort.

Ah, a spell book for making slaves. Looks like our chef botched it, or someone else put the spell on them all.
Probably someone else, as they are still up and about. But why would you need an army of cookies, going to scare the pants off of all the kids maybe...
How come you don't have any paypal donation option(or similar)anywhere Darren? I enjoy your story(s) a lot, you always keep it updated, I would say you make my days better. You should let us make your days better too.
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

I like the way you picture the whole sidekick thing Darren, like Grandfather/Superman passing the butt-kicking skills on to the next generation haha.
Silly baker tho. Soon as you start messing around with 'obedient' sentinent beings you've gotta expect an uprising...

DontPanik -
True on the uprising..."up rising of the dough"...
Oh, that was bad. It wasn't even a fully formed joke.

Dang it, Eldoran, quit guessing the plot elements!
Seriously, the Kasermandl is pretty good. I've never heard of them before...
