Huh! I never even thought about that...what if Charlie HAD survived? Hmmm...possibility for a future story, but I assure you, it's not him out there in the woods.

I think it's still the most shocking thing that's happened. He was Melissa's co-worker and a generally good guy, and I think he's the only human being to die in these stories so far. Of course, it took that for Dill to even consider Kyle wasn't a good guy, but after Mercy and Agnes came back, and after Rory and Greg came back, Charlie's death stands out.

"Seems they had four bodies in the morgue," Jenkins answered. "Right now, two of them are missing."

Be interesting if Charlie came to and sneaked out while the other thing was going on.
