The blessing - that although all this crazy stuff happens to the family line, they're lucky enough to not die from it? After all, Peter's still around...
Actually, I know it's just how the curse is worded, but really it should have run out on Amos' grandchildren - it only went up to children's children, not any generations after that!
Realfw = What a Welshman says when falling out of a tree.
Willard wasn't Amos' only living offspring, was he? That would mean that the blessing only affect part of the bloodline. That might explain all of the monsters still around Duskville. VW: acter. You'd think it's simply an actor with poor spelling, but it's actually a clever disguise for monsters masquarading as masters of deception.
Rubberduck - Maybe I'll do a "forever afterward" just to drive the point home...
Um the Muse - Willard was just the first-born male. I think we'll get some info sooner or later that the curse (and Eurpoean AND Indian societies at that time) was very patriarchal and nepotistic in an evil way.
PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.
