Good to see that Gwendolyn's along! See, if I'd been Grandfather, I'd have paid for her passage instead of Dill's - she's more likely to be useful in a crisis.

BTW, I can relate - really hard to look goth in ski gear, even if it is black. Or anything else "sporty", really. I have a black bike, a black helmet and cycling tights, and a black and purple cycling windbreaker, and I can still feel myself losing goth points. Not that I actually care. :-)

BTW, re "her eyes were lined with mascara" - this is a really common error for male writers, or women who don't wear makeup. Mascara. Eyeliner. Two different things. Mascara goes on your eyelashes. The stuff that lines your eyes is eyeliner.

WV: gyntsu: a short-lived experiment by the Ginsu company in branching out into medical supplies, which failed when they discovered that gynecologists do not, as a general rule, buy direct from TV.

Misslynx -
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! See, you just earned yourself a thousand points right there, misslynx. I'm'a gonna go search for the mascara/eyeliner thing in all my docs. Thanks!

I also think that Gwen is a little too young to wear make up anyway. Make up is normally a middle school thing.

P.S. I love your writing. Peter and the Dead Men was damn scary and I'm an adult.
