PETER AND THE VAMPIRES is a horror/comedy web novel (and a free podcast!)about a normal, 10-year-old kid who moves into a sinister town filled with supernatural horribleness. The series is composed of different "monster of the week" stories - kind of like THE X-FILES crossed with THE SIMPSONS (if Mr. Burns were a ghoul and something terrifying lived in the town dump). "Peter And The Dead Men" is the first story in the collection. A new page is posted every day.

Ooh, I see hypothermia setting in, and then the "Snow Demon" will rescue them with a hot mugfull of hot chocolate. And doughnuts.
Then the Indian guy will hunt the"Demon" (who, of course, is just misunderstood), and Peter will have to avenge his death. And for making him drop his doughnuts. Mmm, doughnuts.
Well this is what you get when you ignore your grandfathers orders.... (at least for Peter)
Can't say that the Snow Demon seems much of a danger now, since they are pretty much lost in the cold (that alone is deadly). and the current weather makes it quite impossible for anybody to rescue them. The only way the weather could get worse is a storm.
