Weird to see Peter address Dill as "Dude" instead of the other way around. Probably just me.

I really like the phrasing "expecting a blast of electric death."

Very nice way to address the issues. I especially love the part where Peter is certain he's going to get shocked but touches the line anyway and jumps in expectation. I mean really, that is kinda like 'taking one for the team' but what good could have come out of it for Dill if it was a man fryer? (I enjoy speculating the other side of the coin quite often, so don't take this as crit)

Oh that was just a funny one, I really liked this line:

Dill whimpered. “Country-fried Dill?”

I had to look away or I would have laughed to hard. Good stuff.

Just kidding. If I can't say too much without giving anything away, you get the 'hmmmm'!

Fiona -

Todd -
Good point. I think I'm going to change that.

Amy -

Pardon my idiocy, but don't phone lines carry some charge, too?

It doesnt seem to make sense, but I recall once "holding" a telephone cord in my mouth while digging around behind my computer to plug it in to the tower, and let me tell you, it certainly FELT like it was carrying a charge.

Phone lines do carry a charge but it is a very low voltage. Around 12 volts, not the 120 volts that runs your power outlets.

I can't be sure about how low the voltage is, but it is pretty far down there. And with the phones turned off to the building there is no power going thru it anyway.

Telephone wires do carry a charge, but I don't think that it could kill you, especially if you're hanging on like these boys are. Since I'm writing this after reading the next chapter, I suspect that Jon will find this out first-hand :)

Edit: I'm sure you're right, Daymon34 *Le Sigh*
What are the chances that we'd be writing at the same time?
